Blogs can be used for many reasons in a classroom. One way that I would use a blog in my classroom would be to keep parents updated on what is going on in the classroom. I could post different types of study guides, HW helpers, and many other ideas so that parents could see more of what happens in the daily lives of their child.

Parent communication is an excellent idea. The only problem that may occur is that some parents may not have internet access or the proper training to communicate using a blog, whereas some parents would love it. Overall, I think that it is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteOur school is currently experimenting with a blog as a means to communicate with one another. At the moment it is being used only with faculty and staff and if that goes well then onto the public domain for the community. It is set up very simplistic with a simple click on our website.
